First Post: answer to question 4

Question:
Use the Internet to learn more about USB ports. What is a USB port? How does it work? List advantages to this type port. Include a link to the site(s) from which you obtained your information.

Answer:
A USB port or “Universal Serial Bus” is an external bus that supports data transfers. A USB works by plugging in a device like a keyboard, or an ipod into the the port. The computer then reads the device  and sends it to the appropriate drive. Advantages to this type of port is that: all computers come with one or two ports, data can be transferred back and forth for the computer to the UBS port, and the USB can be transferred to printers, and hard drives. An advantage to myself is I can hook up the ipod using the USB right to my car radio!
